01About these terms
UUusage is distributed through the Mac App Store. Your licence to use the app is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”), which is an agreement between you and us. These Terms of Use add details about how UUusage works. If they conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies.
02What UUusage does — and doesn’t do
- UUusage shows usage, limits and balances using local records from tools such as Claude Code and Codex, and data returned by services you connect.
- Figures can be delayed, incomplete or different from what a provider bills, for example when a provider changes its data format or when records are missing. Your provider’s own dashboard and invoices are the authoritative source.
- Predictions such as “runs out around” are estimates based on your recent pace. They are not guarantees.
- UUusage is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenAI, GitHub, DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, MiniMax or Apple. Product names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the services UUusage reads.
03Your accounts and other services
- You connect services with your own accounts, keys or tokens. You are responsible for keeping them secure and for following each provider’s terms.
- Where a provider offers it, use a key or token with the narrowest permission available.
- Providers can change or limit their data, interfaces or terms at any time. When that happens, some UUusage features may stop working until an update is available.
- We aren’t responsible for a provider’s service, charges or account decisions.
04Changes UUusage makes on your Mac
The optional Claude Code limits feature changes the statusLine setting in Claude Code’s settings.json and saves limit numbers to a .uusage folder. UUusage shows you the old and new command and asks before making the change, keeps a copy of your previous setting, and offers to restore it when you disconnect the service. If the file is edited by you or another tool afterwards, restoring may not be exact, so we recommend keeping your own backups of configuration files.
05Free trial and purchase
You can try UUusage free for 21 days. The trial starts when you finish the app’s welcome guide, and the app tells you how long it lasts. The trial is free; you pay only if you choose to buy the full version.
After the trial, you can unlock the full version with a one-time in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and doesn’t renew. When the trial ends, UUusage stops updating and keeps showing the last reading it took; exporting your usage data remains available.
- The price, currency and what is included are shown in the App Store before you confirm the purchase. That confirmation is what applies to your purchase.
- Payment is processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. We don’t receive your payment details.
- Use Restore Purchases in UUusage (Settings → About) to restore an existing purchase on a Mac signed in with the same Apple Account.
- If a purchase doesn’t seem to complete, check your App Store purchase history before trying again.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Eligibility depends on Apple’s policies and the law where you live.
06Updates and changes
Updates are delivered only through the Mac App Store. We may add, change or remove features, for example when a provider changes its service. If we stop offering the app, we have no obligation to keep providing updates, but this doesn’t affect rights you have under law for an app you have paid for.
07Acceptable use
Please don’t use UUusage to break the law or a provider’s terms, to access accounts or data you aren’t authorised to access, or to interfere with any service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app except as the Standard EULA or applicable law allows. You must follow applicable export and sanctions laws.
08Warranty and liability
Warranty and liability are set out in the Standard EULA. In addition, to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for decisions you make based on estimated figures, or for a provider’s charges, limits or account actions. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer.
09Support
We, not Apple, provide support and maintenance for UUusage. Contact us at [email protected]. Including your app version helps us answer faster. Common questions are answered on the FAQ page.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or in the release notes before they take effect. If you don’t agree to the updated terms, you can stop using UUusage.
11Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the same law as the Standard EULA, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
